Juan Martin Hsu (1979) was born in Buenos Aires. He studied Image and Sound Design at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. He directed several short films, some of which received many awards, such as "Ropa Sucia"("Dirty Clothes", 2006) and worked in various roles in film production (in post-production, editing). His debut feature "La Salada" (2014), which he also wrote, won the Cine en Construcción Prize at the San Sebastián Film Festival in 2013, and was shown at many festivals including Toronto, San Sebastián, BAFICI, Biarritz. It also won several awards in Argentina.
