Volia Chajkouskaya (1987) is a film director, producer and film festival manager of Belarusian origin. She studied the production and direction of documentary films at the Baltic Film and Media School. In 2016, she founded the Volia Films production company. She is a voting member of the European Film Academy and the founder and programme director of the Northern Lights Film Festival. Her work often focuses on Belarusian society and political events, including the 2020–21 protests. Her directorial debut, the short documentary “Common Language”, premiered at the Jihlava IDFF in 2014. In 2018, she emigrated to Estonia and began working as a producer at AllFilm.
