Seven films included in the PÖFF program will be nominated for the European Film Academy Awards.
Sirât (Spain-France) – Nominated in the categories of Best Film, Director (Oliver Laxe), Screenplay (Santiago Fillol and Oliver Laxe) and Actor (Sergi López).
Sound of Falling (Germany) – Nominated in the categories of Best Film, Director (Mascha Schilinski) and Screenplay (Mascha Schilinski and Louise Peter).
The Voice of Hind Rajab (Tunisia-France) – Nominated in the Best Film category.
Dog of God (Latvia) – Nominated in the categories of Best Film and Best Animated Film.
Fiume o morte! (Croatia-Italy-Slovenia) – Nominated in the categories of Best Film and Documentary Film.
Olivia and the Invisible Earthquake (Belgium-Switzerland-Spain-Chile-France) – Nominated in the categories of Best Film and Animated Film.
Christy (Ireland-United Kingdom) – Nominated in the Lux Audience Award category.
The nominees for the European Film Awards were announced on November 18 by the 5,400-member European Film Academy.
The winners will be announced on January 17 in Berlin.
