A new research article developed within the CresCine framework, “Professional learning and skills development in the European Film industry: interest, capacity, learning modes, and future priorities”, has been published in Frontiers in Communication.

The article analyses how professionals in the European film and audiovisual sector acquire and update skills, respond to changes driven by digitalisation and platformisation, and engage in lifelong learning. PÖFF contributed to the research as a co-author, providing industry insight and expertise throughout the research and writing process.

The findings contribute to ongoing discussions on skills development, industry–education alignment, and evidence-based policymaking in the creative sectors.

Many thanks to CresCine and Sten-Kristian Saluveer.
